Driver Causes Estimated $13,000 in Damage in Accident
One driver is responsible for an estimated $13,000 in damage following an accident involving three vehicles, two of which were parked. Thirty five year old, Brent Otterson was under the influence of drugs when the accident occurred. Otterson was traveling on the 600 block of First Avenue South in Jamestown, VA at approximately four in the morning on June 5th. He reached down to adjust his radio and lost control of his car. He slammed into a parked vehicle, which was forced into another vehicle. Otterson immediately left the scene, but was apprehended shortly after. He was taken into custody for driving while under the influence of drugs and for failure to give immediate notice of an accident.
1 800 411 Pain strongly advises drivers against driving while under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Not only is this illegal, but it is also extremely dangerous. Otterson is very fortunate that his actions did not harm anyone. Had there been people in those cars, the outcome could have been much different. 1 800 411 Pain wants to see the roads a safer place for everyone. Do not drive while under the influence of any mind-altering substances.
