3 Types of Cars That Will Last Longer

If you’re debating on investing on a car you’re probably thinking, “how long will it last me?” The longer the car can hold, the more you save money (also considering the cost of maintenance). Either way, if a car can last for 10-20 years it would be able to save you thousands of dollars. If you’re thinking size matter, it might – but not always. You can always research car brands on their reliability, speed and benefits. More than 10,000 cars are made everyday – therefore the brands are extremely competitive. However, to give you some insight on what car can drive far, we listed three types of cars that are known to last you for at least fives years.

  1. Toyota Highlander: The Toyota Highlander hybrid won an award as the winner of the 2017 Best Hyprid SUV for Families. With three rows of seating and maneuvering points from past customers there is no question why it won. Many people have stated that Highlanders last for about 10 years or more. This could mean you can pass one down to your kids and save even more for yourself.
  2.  Honda Odyssey: We know this is also a family car, but coming from experience it is extremely reliable even if you decide to go on multiple road trips. The Odyssey has been in production since the 1990s. And usually, older cars are a great investment (I mean…it lasted this long. There must be a reason). Even though this car is known for only families, it is also famous for having an amazing longevity.
  3. Lexus RS Hybrid: This car doesn’t only look good, but it runs well. About 24% of their owners have had their Lexus for more than 10 years. It was first customized in 1998 and still selling well. Yes, there has been many alterations – it’s mostly to the exterior. Therefore, there is a variety of styles you can find when searching for the right car.

There are many more cars on the list – most of them being a Toyota or Honda. If you have a specific car in mind, you can always look up the longevity to see if it’s worth it. This will help you especially if you’re looking to see how many miles are on a used car.
