Holiday Safety Tips
This holiday season, make sure you take care of yourself, friends and family by making the right choices.
Flames: If you want to light a fire to set the Christmas atmosphere, make sure you practice fire safety. This includes keeping flammable items far away from the fire. Also, don’t let children and pets get too near to the fire.
Alcohol: If you are thinking about serving alcohol, make sure you keep track of everyone and their intoxication level. Don’t let your friends and family members drink and drive.
Ladders: If you’re hanging your seasonal items around or within your home, practice ladder safety which includes carefully ascending and descending the rungs. Always make sure you don’t go too far up and you remain with both feet planted on the ladder at all times.
Food: If you are planning to use your oven to bake holiday treats, always remain present while it’s turned on. Never leave the stove or oven unattended. Always keep a close eyes and monitor your kitchen while baking or cooking.
Driving: If you’re driving to visit relatives or friends, make sure you practice safe driving in order to get to your destination safely. Don’t drive recklessly and remember don’t drive while intoxicated.
