Hurricane Irma Relief from 411 Pain

This past month, September 2017, Florida suffered one of the largest, most detrimental hurricanes in history, Hurricane Irma. Floridians and meteorologists were astonished by the storm, as winds reached over 180 miles per hour, and grew increasingly larger than the infamous Hurricane Andrew. As the storm moved closer to South Florida, Floridians panicked to protect their loved ones and homes by driving North up the state, shuttering up their homes, and stocking up on essentials like food, water, and gas. Most hurricanes lose strength when they reach land, but Hurricane Irma hit Florida at a detrimental Category 4. Because Hurricane Irma was a massive storm, the entire state of Florida was effected. The cities that experienced the most damage include Key Largo, Jacksonville, Naples, and Miami. Floridians lost homes, cars, boats, businesses, wildlife, and electricity due to the massive storm.

Experts say that repairs will take months to complete, and cost millions of dollars to restore back to previous conditions.

In an effort to help Hurricane Irma victims during this turbulent time, 411 Pain donated hurricane bags to victims. The hurricane bags included a 411 Pain t-shirt, and hygiene products including deodorant, razors, a toothbrush, toothpaste, and a hair brush. As Floridians begin to repair their lives and homes during this uneasy time, 411 Pain hopes that the hurricane bags will offer a sense of help and relief.
