Dr. Michael H. Wilensky

Dr. Michael H. Wilensky was born in New City, NY. He received his BA degree in biology at City University of New York. He then attended Boston University School of Medicine. After graduation he did a year of straight surgical internship at Montefiore Hospital and Medical Center. Afterwards he was in the military service from 1974-1976 as a surgeon, United States Public Health Service in Boston, Massachusetts at the rank of Lieutenant Commander with honorable discharge. He then started his orthopaedic residency at the Hospital for Joint Disease, New York, NY. In his last year of training he was chief resident in orthopaedic surgery. After graduation he was an instructor of orthopaedic surgery in Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York, NY teaching residents in orthopaedics and orthopaedic surgery.

He came to Florida to start in private practice in 1982. He was chairman of orthopaedic at Parkway Regional Medical Center from 1996-2006. Currently. he is a member of the Florida Medical Society. He is board certified in orthopaedic surgery by the American Society of orthopaedic surgeons.
