Star Trek Actor Chris Pine Arrested for DUI

Chris Pine is a 33 year old actor who is well known for his role as Captain Kirk in the Star Trek movies. Pine has also been featured on television shows such as CSI: Miami, ER and Saturday Night Live. Earlier this month, Chris Pine was pulled over in New Zealand after he left the wrap party for his upcoming film “Z for Zachariah.”

Pine was pulled over and the court found that his blood-alcohol level was 0.11%. The legal limit in New Zealand is 0.08%. Pine told the cops that he had drank four vodka drinks during the party and his legal representative told the judge that he knew he made the wrong decision that night. They pinned the issue on his emotional suffering after enduring negative publicity that has since affected his acting career.
No matter what, there is no excuse for driving under the influence. Eventually, the court found Chris Pine “entirely remorseful” and he was fined $79 and had his New Zealand driver’s license suspended for six months.
