Train Collision Sends Five to the Hospital

According to Sacto 9-1-1, five people were sent to the hospital after a passenger train collided with a car on March 29, 2012. When the train made contact with the initial vehicle (a black BMW), it forced the car into a separate vehicle. The drivers from both vehicles required medical attention. Three passengers from the train were also taken to the hospital. No serious injuries were reported. According to officials, the train had pinned the black BMW between itself and a tree. Firefighters had to remove the vehicle’s roof to release the driver.
Accidents of any kind are unfortunate. The individuals involved in this accident were extremely fortunate that no one sustained any serious injuries and that no fatalities occurred.
