2020 Top Five Reliable Cars, According to Consumer Reports

Thinking a new year, a new car? Before jumping into such a long-term commitment, make sure you do your research on car brands. If you’re not one for research, Consumer Reports does it for you every year.  They gather the annual research done by The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) as part of the safety component for their Overall Score, which also factors in road-test performance, reliability, and owner satisfaction. The list includes factors such as passenger safety, nighttime visibility, and pedestrian protection in addition to traditional crash tests.

The Overall Score also includes frontal crash-prevention systems with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking that operates at city speeds, and blind-spot warning.
