Road Disasters Recap of 2018
We had a few painful accidents last year – one of them hitting home. Sometimes we can’t stop what causes accidents, but sometimes we can. When it comes to reckless driving – it is our choices that create the effect. Here are a few car crashes and accidents we shouldn’t forget.
Happens to Everyone
The comedian, Will Ferrell, was involved in a serious accident on April 12, 2018. Will and three other people were commuting from an event that night when an SUV swerved onto their lane and hit the rear-right side of the car. The vehicle lost control, which resulted in the car flipping over. The passengers were rushed to the hospital. Fortunately, everyone was okay.
Bridge Has Fallen Down
On March 15, 2018 the city of Miami endured one of the biggest disasters of the year. Florida International University planned out a bridge that would potentially keep students safe from the hectic road, Tamiami Trail. It was issued because an FIU student died from a car accident while walking to campus only a year ago. Unfortunately, the bridge did not do its purpose. During the installation, the bridge collapse on several cars killing about 6 people – one of them being a student.
Limo Ride Gone Wrong
October 6, 2018 brought a birthday disaster to one big party. What was supposed to be an amazing day with family and friends turned out to be one of the biggest car accidents in New York City and probably the United States. Amy Steenburg wanted to celebrate her 30th birthday BIG! She invited 16 of her closest family and friends to ride in style in a stretched out limousine to her favorite bar and restaurant. Unfortunately, they did not make it to the party. About thirty miles away from Albany is a steep intersection that is known to be extremely dangerous. The driver lost control of the limousine and crashed into an empty car – leaving everyone in the vehicle dead as well as two pedestrians.
