Are You Ready For This Jelly

Chris “Biz” Stone has co-founded and co-created various media applications and websites like Twitter, Xanga, and Blogger. In 2012 he co-founded and became CEO of his newest project, a start-up called Jelly. In early January of 2014, he finally launched the app, making it available for download in the app store. Jelly is a new social media question-and-answer service. Its goal is to connect people through their social networks, expanding the idea of a search engine to your friends and followers. Instead of Google-ing something, you can ask someone on Jelly what their opinion is. This provides firsthand advice and answers, making it an easy and fun way to help people.

Jelly searches for information using humans, not algorithms like on Google and other search engines. It allows users to ask questions visually via Twitter and Facebook to get the best possible answer. Visually, it allows the user to take a photo of something and add a question to it. The app makes it easy to scroll through questions that have been posted and some have even called it “the Instagram of questions.”
This new app seems to be on the come up, even Mark Zuckerberg (the creator of Facebook) is user! Zuckerberg recently posted a photo of a spider he found in his bathroom and asked “What kind of spider is this and is it okay to let it keep living in my shower?” He got a prompt reply from someone telling him what it is and telling him he should probably relocate it out of the house and even attached a Wikipedia link for more information.
