Chris Kattan Driving Under the Influence

Chris Kattan is a successful 43 year old comedian who has acted in many films and television shows, most notably being his role as a main character on the late-night sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live and A Night At the Roxbury, costarring alongside Will Ferrell. More recently in January of 2014, Chris Kattan made an appearance on the television show Celebrity Chef.

Fast forward to this month where Chris Kattan has faced difficult times including getting arrested for a DUI and causing a major crash on the highway. On Monday January 10th at around 2 in the morning, Chris Kattan was driving his 2011 Mercedes Benz on Ventura highway in Los Angeles when he lost control of his car and slammed into a highway construction truck. Luckily, no workers were in the truck at the time and Kattan only suffered a bloody nose, but it could have been much worse. The officers believed Kattan was under the influence of a drug because he failed a field sobriety test. Chris Kattan was charged with driving under the influence (DUI) and chemical tests will be conducted to determine exactly what was in his system when he was driving that night. Later, Chris Kattan went onto Twitter to send a message to the public: “Those concerned or just adding gossip: I’m fine, passed all tests, released without bail, have driver’s license, cop offered to drive me home.”

Even though nothing tragic occurred –it very well could have. Driving under the influence of any chemical can lead to fatalities that could be easily avoided.
